Our children benefit tremendously from the devoted, talented and experienced leadership of our school.

Beebe Gorrie has been an important member of the St. Paul's community, teaching and directing our summer school program since 2002. In August of 2010, due to Susan Kelly's retirement, Beebe was unanimously selected as the Director of St. Paul's Nursery School. She is thrilled to be at St. Paul's full-time, working with young children and their families while in company of her former colleagues and friends. As a school, we are equally delighted to welcome Beebe to our outstanding team of educators who continue to uphold the values of our play-based preschool program.
Prior to becoming the Director at St. Paul's, Beebe taught Kindergarten in the Las Lomitas School District as well as Kindergarten, first, and second grade in the Burlingame School District. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Beebe's career has been devoted to supporting the academic, social and emotional development of young children. Beebe and her family are long-time Burlingame residents, growing up and graduating from the Burlingame public school system herself.
Beebe received her Bachelor's Degree from University of California, Berkeley in Psychology. In 2005, Beebe also obtained her Child Development Program Director Permit from Cañada College in addition to her Special Education and Ryan Life Elementary credentials.

The staff at St. Paul's Nursery School shares the school's philosophy and works as a team. Lisa Williamson teaches the four year old class and Catherine Alviso teaches the three year old class. Both teachers hold their Master Teaching Credentials and Supervisor Permits.
The teachers are supported by teaching assistants, Gigi Hurty and Annie Moore. Our teaching assistants come to St. Paul's with a rich background of teaching and a strong belief in the developmental play based preschool program.
Lisa Williamson, Catherine Alviso and Gigi Hurty have a long history of teaching together prior to coming to St. Paul's. Annie Moore joined us in 2005.

Parents have an integral role in running the school through the Board of Directors and Key Jobs Chairpersons. The Board of Directors consists of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and four Members-At-Large. These volunteers are responsible for running the business of the school, setting policy, and maintaining a good working model. They receive membership benefits for their efforts. The School Director is a non-voting member of the Board. Key jobs chairpersons report to the Board as directed by their job description and also receive membership benefits. > See a complete list of school jobs
