We offer creative experiences through art, music, dramatic play, math, language, science and outdoor play.

We are a nonsectarian program open to children from 3 years (as of Sept 1, 2009) to 5 years of age. Our classes are homogeneously grouped according to age with an adult-to-child ratio of 1 to 4. The permanent staff includes one full-time certified teacher/director, one full-time certified teacher, two credentialed teacher assistants, and two teaching aides. > more about our staff.
The school is open September through June, Monday through Friday. An abbreviated program is offered during the months of June and July. We are a co-op program with required parent participation. "Juniors" (three years old) may attend two or three days per week, and "Seniors" (four and five years old) may attend three days per week (or four days per week depending on availability). Our classes run from 9:00 to 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday. Students need not be potty trained to attend.

We believe that preschool children learn by handling their environment. Circle time develops the skills of concentration and attention. The foundation of literacy is built by being read to and interacting with the elements of the story. Block building bridges the world of pretend and reality. Pre-math experience is inherent in size and shape sorting and balance. Water play encourages measurement, sensory experiences, and observation and prediction. Clay encourages fine motor development so important for writing. Dramatic play allows children to re-enact experiences and stories, fears and feelings. Outdoor play is critical to the development of growing children. It helps them develop an awareness of their bodies in relation to balance, strength and coordination. > more

A supplemental pre-K enrichment program is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Seniors (four and five year olds) from 12:00 noon to 1:30 for an additional fee. This program provides an opportunity for the children to eat lunch and experience small group lessons with their teachers focusing on the areas of math, language skills, drama, literature, art and science.

Another program offered as a more relaxed and fun-filled extension to the regular day is called "Lunch Bunch." All students enrolled in the school are eligible for this program for an additional fee. It is scheduled from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
